305mm(length)×125mm(width)×75mm(hight) Carrozzeria TOURING was founded in Milan in 1926. Anyone who has ever been captivated by the allure of automobiles, especially beautiful Italian automobiles, will be familiar with the name. This carrozzeria, which has produced many beautiful cars, is known for its unique Superleggera method, which boasts ultra-lightweight and high-rigidity body construction. Its beautiful bodies, primarily for Alfa Romeo and Ferrari, continue to captivate many enthusiasts today.
In the mid-1960s, like many other long-established Italian carrozzerias, the name disappeared with the changing times. However, its spirit has continued to be passed down through the generations. Finally, in 2006, the name was revived.
This is an official item produced by Touring, looking back on its illustrious history. Housed in a red box reminiscent of the leather straps used to secure aluminum hoods of the past is a 1/12 scale, imposing reproduction of a Ferrari 166 Baechetta, measuring over 300mm in length. The pure white resin object exudes a stately presence that is hard to miss.
Its weight of approximately 800g also gives it a strong presence, making it an extremely rare object, with only 99 units produced in the world. The base of the object is engraved with the serial number and the autographs of Giovanni, a descendant of the founding family, and Alberto Bianchi Anderloni.
