26 Pages/Italian
270mm(width)×210mm(length) In 1929, the Lateran Treaty was signed between the Kingdom of Italy and the Holy See, allowing the Pope to travel outside the Vatican. The car donated by Fiat at this time is considered the beginning of automobiles used for official business.
This memorial book commemorates the first papal car (Popemobile), the FIAT 525N, delivered to the Vatican on April 20, 1929. It is an extremely valuable document published 100 years ago by the ISTITUTO GEOGRAFICO DE AGOSTINI in Novara.
It contains an extensive 26-page black-and-white photographs showing various stages of the event.
The front and back covers are made of red cardboard and bound with yellow straw. The cover features the coat of arms of Pope Pius XI, and red coats of arms are also featured on each page.
The small booklet that accompanies this book is actually the user's manual for a 100-year-old FIAT vehicle! It's unclear why they made it so small. The text size is quite difficult for those with presbyopia, and it includes vehicle specifications, maintenance instructions, semaphore signals, FIAT dealer locations, and more.
Both are valuable museum-quality documents, so why not take this opportunity to add them to your collection?
