8 Pages/Italian The FIAT 509 was the company's first small, mass-market car, unveiled at the 1925 Milan Motor Show. This is an extremely rare, official original sheet music edition—titled "La Cinquecento e Nove - Inno popolare" (The 509 - A Popular Anthem)—created to commemorate the car's debut.
The cover features a powerful illustration by Plinio Codognato, a legendary graphic designer renowned for creating posters for Fiat and many other iconic automobiles. The design—depicting smoke rising from the factory and a giant lifting the car—vividly reflects the Art Deco and Futurist aesthetic of the 1920s.
This piece of historical memorabilia represents a collaboration between two giants of the Italian cultural scene of the era: the lyrics were penned by playwright Giuseppe Adami (known for the opera *Turandot*), and the music was composed by Riccardo Zandonai.
A song and score from over a century ago—sing it, play it, or simply enjoy the exclusive privilege of hearing it yourself. |
